Mount Pyrus is a Dublin-based retro-pop and indie-jazz band founded by musicians Finn Smyth and Mabel Thew. What began with the pair has developed into a dynamic five-piece live act, joined by friends and fellow students from Finn's DCU jazz degree.
The band's signature sound combines soft vocals, warm keys, retro synth lines, smooth bass and driving drums, bringing together elements of pop, indie and jazz.
Drawing inspiration from artists including Mild High Club, Crumb and Men I Trust, Mount Pyrus continue to develop their own distinctive blend of genres and contemporary sound.
